Choosing & buying an eSIM

What an eSIM is, which plan to pick, and how to pay.

What is an eSIM?

An eSIM is a digital SIM built into your phone — there is no plastic card to insert. Instead of swapping SIMs, you install a travel data plan by scanning a QR code. Your home SIM stays in the phone, so you keep your own number for calls and OTPs while using BellRoam data abroad.

  • No physical SIM, nothing to lose
  • Install in minutes, before you even leave home
  • Switch between your home line and travel data in Settings
Which plan should I choose?

Pick by destination, then by how many days you travel and how much data you use per day.

  • Light use (maps, chat, email): a smaller daily allowance is enough
  • Heavy use (streaming, video calls, hotspot): choose a higher daily data plan
  • Match the number of days to your trip length — validity only starts when you first connect, so buying early costs you nothing

Each plan page lists the network, data per day, validity, and whether hotspot is included.

What payment methods can I use?

You can pay securely with:

  • PayPal (and PayPal balance)
  • Credit / debit card (Visa, Mastercard) via Airwallex
  • Apple Pay on Safari with a supported device

We never see or store your full card number. Your eSIM is delivered by email within minutes of a successful payment.

Should I buy before or after I arrive?

Buy before you travel. Install the eSIM at home over Wi‑Fi so it is ready to go the moment you land. Validity does not start until the eSIM first connects to the local network at your destination, so installing early never wastes days.
