South Africa eSIM — Cape Town, the Garden Route and safari
A BellRoam South Africa eSIM gives you mobile data across South Africa without buying a SIM on arrival. Receive the QR code by email, install it before you fly and switch it on when you land in Cape Town or Johannesburg.
Network and coverage
| Network | Vodacom |
| Strong coverage | Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban, Pretoria, the Garden Route and the main highways |
| Weaker spots | Inside Kruger and other game reserves, the Karoo and the Drakensberg |
The network shown on each plan is the one your eSIM connects to.
Which plan should I choose?
- Cape Town for a week: maps, messaging, ride-hailing and social media fit in a small total-data plan.
- Two weeks including a safari: choose a mid-size plan if you navigate all day, upload photos or share a hotspot.
- Remote work or lots of video: pick the largest plan and use Wi-Fi for big downloads.

Tips for South Africa
- Uber and Bolt are the usual way to get around the big cities, and need data.
- In Kruger, signal is mostly near the main rest camps; download park maps before game drives.
Visiting more than South Africa?
A South Africa plan works in South Africa only. If your trip continues to another country, buy a separate plan for it.
