Iraq eSIM — Baghdad, Erbil, Najaf and Karbala
A BellRoam Iraq eSIM gives you mobile data across Iraq without buying a SIM on arrival. Receive the QR code by email, install it before you fly and switch it on when you land in Baghdad or Erbil.
Network and coverage
| Network | Asia Cell |
| Strong coverage | Baghdad, Erbil, Sulaymaniyah, Basra, Najaf, Karbala and the main highways |
| Weaker spots | Desert stretches between cities and mountain areas in the north |
The network shown on each plan is the one your eSIM connects to.
Which plan should I choose?
- A pilgrimage to Najaf and Karbala: maps, messaging, ride-hailing and social media fit in a small total-data plan.
- Two weeks including Kurdistan: choose a mid-size plan if you navigate all day, upload photos or share a hotspot.
- Remote work or lots of video: pick the largest plan and use Wi-Fi for big downloads.
- Daily data plans (3GB per day) give you a fresh allowance every day; after it, speed is reduced until the next day.

Tips for Iraq
- Check your government's official travel advice before you go and keep it updated during the trip.
- During major pilgrimages such as Arbaeen the networks are very busy; agree meeting points in advance.
Visiting more than Iraq?
An Iraq plan works in Iraq only. Visiting neighbours too? Buy a plan for each country: Jordan, Kuwait.
