eSIM device compatibility
BellRoam eSIMs work on most phones released from 2018 onward. Your phone needs to (1) support eSIM and (2) be carrier-unlocked. Check yours below.
How to check your phone
- Dial *#06# — if an EID number is shown alongside the IMEI, your phone supports eSIM.
- iPhone: Settings → General → About → look for "Available SIM" or an EID entry near the bottom.
- Android: Settings → About phone / Connections → SIM manager → look for "Add eSIM" or "Download a SIM instead".
Your phone must be carrier-unlocked. A phone locked to a carrier (often the case with subsidised/contract phones) cannot use a third-party eSIM.

Not compatible
- iPhones bought in mainland China (they use dual physical SIM and have no eSIM).
- Most iPhone XS/XR units sold in Hong Kong and Macau (except iPhone XS Max).
- Phones locked to a specific carrier.
- Older or budget phones with no eSIM chip — when in doubt, use the *#06# check above.
